Peec AI Review 2026: What It Does, What It Costs, and Who Should Buy It
Peec AI is the tracker that made AI visibility affordable. This review covers what it measures, the September 2026 pricing, where it falls short, and which alternatives to look at. Disclosure: Mavek builds a competing feature, and we say so where it matters.
Peec AI is a Berlin-based AI search visibility tracker. It runs your prompts against ChatGPT, Gemini and other answer engines every day, then reports whether your brand was mentioned, where it ranked, how it was framed, and which sources were cited. Self-serve plans start at about $95 a month as of September 2026. It measures AI visibility well and does nothing to change it.
What Peec AI Is
Peec AI launched in February 2025. Its three founders, Marius Meiners, Daniel Drabo and Tobias Siwonia, met in Antler's Berlin cohort and built the product around one question: when a buyer asks an AI assistant for a recommendation, does your brand come up? The company raised a seed round led by 20VC in July 2025 and a $21 million Series A led by Singular in November 2025, and its homepage now claims more than 3,000 brands and agencies as customers. In the answer engine optimization market, it is the tool most often named alongside Profound, and it got there by charging a fraction of the price.
What It Measures
The core loop is simple. You define a set of prompts, the questions your buyers would ask an assistant, and tag them by topic. Peec runs each prompt daily against the engines on your plan and stores the answer. From those answers it derives four numbers: visibility (how often you are mentioned), position (where you sit when the answer is a ranked list), sentiment (how you are described), and share of voice against the competitors you define.
The feature that earns the subscription is source attribution. For every answer, Peec records which domains the engine cited. Over a few weeks that becomes a ranked list of the sites AI engines trust in your category, which is the closest thing there is to a link-building target list for AI search. There is also an AI-suggested prompt feature that proposes questions based on search volume, competitor benchmarking, CSV export, a Looker Studio connector, and API access on the higher tiers. Independent reviews in 2026 also note a native MCP server, which lets you query your Peec data from inside an AI assistant.
Engine coverage moved around in 2026, so here is the menu as of September 29: self-serve plans let you pick three from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Perplexity now sits in the enterprise tier, which also adds API-based tracking for Claude, GPT-5 Search, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral and Meta, up to 13 models in all. Every plan includes unlimited seats and daily tracking, which is unusual at this price point.
Peec AI Pricing (September 2026)
Peec publishes its plans on peec.ai and prices in euros for European customers. The dollar figures below are what the pricing page showed when we checked it on September 29, 2026 (the screenshot under the table is from that visit); annual billing is roughly 15 percent cheaper, and extra engines beyond the included three are paid add-ons. Check the pricing page before you buy, because this category reprices often.
| Plan | Monthly price | Includes | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $95 / month | 50 prompts, 3 of 6 engines, 1 project | One brand, one market, first look at AI visibility |
| Pro | $245 / month | 150 prompts, 3 of 6 engines, 2 projects | An in-house SEO team tracking a few countries |
| Advanced | $495 / month | 350 prompts, 3 of 6 engines, 5 projects | Agencies and multi-brand marketing teams |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom prompts, all engines, API and SSO | Large brands needing API access and more models |
A free trial exists. The published trial length varies between sources, so confirm it on signup. Compared with Scrunch AI, whose entry plan is $250 a month after its late-September repricing, and Profound, whose public pricing page lists only a free trial tier and custom enterprise pricing, Peec's Starter plan is the cheapest way to get daily multi-engine tracking from an established vendor.
Where Peec AI Is Strong
- Setup speed. Prompts in, dashboard populated within a day. Reviewers consistently describe it as the cleanest onboarding in the category, and our own read of the product agrees.
- Unlimited seats on every plan. Agencies and in-house teams can share the account without seat maths.
- Source attribution. Knowing which domains an engine cites is more actionable than a visibility score, and Peec surfaces it plainly.
- Multi-country without surcharges. Pro and above cover several countries, which matters for anyone selling across the UAE, Australia, India or Southeast Asia.
- Reporting plumbing. Looker Studio, CSV, API and an MCP server mean the data leaves the tool easily.
Where It Falls Short
- Monitoring only. Peec will not write a page, fix a technical issue, publish anything, or run a campaign. Every insight becomes a task for someone else. This is the biggest gap and Peec is honest about it.
- Three-engine ceiling. Tracking more than three engines on a self-serve plan costs extra per engine, and the bill climbs quickly if you want ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot together. Perplexity is no longer on the self-serve menu at all: as of late September 2026 it requires the enterprise tier.
- API-based sampling. Like most trackers, Peec queries engines through APIs. Reviewers note the answers can differ from what a logged-in user sees, so the numbers are a proxy, not a recording.
- No native analytics integration. There is no GA4 or Search Console connection to tie AI visibility to actual traffic or revenue. You do that join yourself.
- API and SSO are enterprise-only. If procurement needs SSO, the self-serve tiers will not pass.
Who Should Buy It
Peec AI suits an SEO or content team that already has hands to do the work and needs a reliable daily read on AI visibility to direct them. It also suits agencies reporting to several clients, since the Advanced plan handles five projects with unlimited seats. It is a poor fit for a founder with no marketing team, because the tool produces a to-do list and nothing on the list gets done.
Peec AI vs Mavek
We build Mavek, so read this section knowing that. The two products get compared because both track AI visibility, but they answer different questions. Peec answers "how visible are we in AI search, and where do the citations come from" better than we do, and it will for a while: tracking is Peec's entire product, and Mavek's AI visibility tracker is new and refreshes weekly rather than daily. Mavek answers "who is going to do the work", because the tracking sits inside a platform that also runs SEO execution, content drafting and publishing, and Google and Meta ads, with a human team reviewing the plan.
| Peec AI | Mavek | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Pure AI search visibility tracker | AI marketing platform with tracking built in |
| Tracking | Mature: daily runs, position, sentiment, source attribution, competitor share of voice | Weekly runs (every Monday, or on demand): mentions, citations, position, framing and competitors |
| Engines | 3 of 6 on self-serve plans, up to 13 on enterprise | 5: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews |
| Execution | None. It reports and recommends; your team does the work | SEO fixes, content drafting, WordPress publishing, a rank tracker, Google and Meta ads |
| Pricing | $95 to $495 a month self-serve, custom enterprise | From $125 a month |
| Best for | Teams with hands to act on the data | Founders and lean teams missing the execution |
The honest buying advice follows from that. If you have an in-house team or an agency doing the work, buy Peec and hand them the data; it is the better measurement tool. If the work itself is the missing piece, a tracker will document the problem every day without fixing it, and that is the case where Mavek makes more sense. Nothing stops you running both, since the budgets barely overlap.
Peec AI Alternatives
Profound is the enterprise option: deeper citation analytics, agent traffic analytics, prompt volume data, up to nine engines, and custom pricing. If you are a large brand with a security review and a global prompt set, read our Mavek vs Profound page for where it wins.
Scrunch AI, acquired by Sitecore in June 2026, pairs tracking with an Agent Experience Platform that serves AI crawlers a machine-readable version of your pages, now an enterprise feature. It starts at $250 a month after a late-September repricing. Our Scrunch AI review has the detail.
AirOps is not a tracker so much as a content engineering platform with AI visibility insights bolted on. If your problem is producing content at scale, our AirOps review explains the fit.
Mavek is our own product, compared honestly in the section above: it trades Peec's measurement depth for execution. The full field is covered in our guide to the best AI visibility tools, and there is a condensed use-case comparison of Peec AI alternatives, published as a Gemini Notebook report with the same September 2026 prices.
Verdict
Peec AI is the best-value pure AI visibility tracker we have looked at in 2026. It measures the right things, prices them fairly, and lets the whole team in. Buy it if you have people to act on the data. If you do not, budget for the execution first and add the tracker when there is something to track.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Peec AI?
Peec AI is an AI search visibility tracker from Berlin. It runs a set of prompts against AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot on a daily schedule, then reports whether your brand is mentioned, where it ranks, the sentiment, and which sources the engine cited. It was founded in early 2025 by Marius Meiners, Daniel Drabo and Tobias Siwonia out of the Antler Berlin program.
How much does Peec AI cost?
As of September 2026, Peec AI's self-serve plans are Starter at about $95 a month (50 prompts), Pro at about $245 (150 prompts), and Advanced at about $495 (350 prompts), with a discount for annual billing and euro pricing for European customers. Each self-serve plan covers three answer engines, with extra engines as paid add-ons. Enterprise pricing is custom. A free trial is offered.
Who are Peec AI's competitors?
The closest competitors are Profound (enterprise-priced, deepest analytics), Scrunch AI (now part of Sitecore, with an agent-facing content delivery layer), and a long tail of newer trackers. Mavek is a partial alternative: it includes AI visibility tracking across five engines inside an AI marketing platform that also runs SEO, content and ads, so it suits teams that want execution more than measurement depth.
Is Peec AI worth it?
For an SEO or content team that wants a clean, daily read on AI visibility without an enterprise contract, yes. It is fast to set up, every plan includes unlimited seats, and the source attribution view tells you which sites to earn mentions on. It is not worth it if you expect the tool to change the numbers for you: Peec reports, it does not write, publish or fix anything.
How much funding has Peec AI raised?
Peec AI raised a seed round led by 20VC in July 2025 and a $21 million Series A led by Singular in November 2025, with Antler among the participants, bringing total funding to about $29 million. In 2026 Sifted reported the company was in talks to raise again at a higher valuation; we have not seen that round confirmed, so treat it as unverified.
What are the best Peec AI alternatives?
Profound if you need enterprise depth and agent traffic analytics. Scrunch AI if you want a machine-readable version of your site served to AI crawlers. Mavek if you want one platform that tracks AI visibility across five engines and also does the SEO, content and ads work, from $125 a month. See our roundup of the best AI visibility tools for the full comparison.
Peec AI vs Mavek: which should you pick?
Pick Peec AI if you already have people to act on the data and want the deepest affordable read on AI visibility: daily tracking, source attribution and unlimited seats from $95 a month. Pick Mavek if execution is the missing piece: it tracks AI visibility weekly across five engines and also runs the SEO, content and ads work from $125 a month, with a human team reviewing the plan. They overlap less than they look: one measures, the other does the work.
